SMS in Groove Extension Dialer

You can text your clients, and log those conversations back to Salesforce so you don't miss a beat!

Sending out SMS

If you have a Groove Dialer License and an SMS License, you can connect with your clients via SMS directly from your Groove Dialer, and these conversations will be logged to Salesforce as well! All you need to do is click on the phone number of the contact or lead (in Gmail or on Salesforce) to open up your Dialer — then, click on the green chat icon to initiate an SMS conversation. You can also open up your Dialer, manually type in the phone number, and click on the green chat icon. When you receive an SMS from your client, you’ll also receive an email notification so that you never miss their message.

Sending out MMS messages (images, GIFs, etc)

Groove also allows you to include images and other media in your messages! Here's how you can send images:

Logging SMS to Salesforce

Any SMS you send or receive will be logged to the SFDC activity history of the Contact or Lead whose phone number matches with who you’re having the SMS conversation with. If you’d like to, you can change where the SMS is logged in Salesforce, by clicking on the ‘X’ on the SMS tab, and using the ‘Search & Select’ to find your preferred record to log the SMS conversation to.

Additionally, you can click on the left arrow to view all of your SMS conversations and jump to each of them quickly, to continue the conversation or view the details.
