Groove Scheduler helps you to schedule meetings with clients with ease and saves you the unnecessary back and forth. Now you can add Merge Fields to your scheduler meeting types so that you don't have to waste time updating and personalizing the meeting title and description for every meeting that gets booked on your calendar.

What merge fields are available to insert in Groove Scheduler?

You can insert all standard fields and custom fields that are in your Salesforce org for the Lead, Contact, Account, Opportunity and User objects. Merge fields pull whatever data inputs are in Salesforce and displays them in your calendar event.

Insert Merge Fields into the Meeting Event Name

You will find that you can edit your event name for each meeting type in your Settings in Scheduler. Within the Event Name click on the "Merge Fields" button to pull up the list of merge fields you can select from and insert.

You will notice that a section to fill out a fallback merge field will appear. It is required to insert a fallback event name so that in the scenario where the merge field does not populate once the meeting is set, Groove can fall back to what you have entered. Sometimes your Salesforce data is not fully populated, so the fallback option will make sure none of your events appear unprofessional on your client's calendars.

Insert Merge Fields into the Meeting Description

You will find that you can edit your event description for each meeting type in your Settings in Scheduler. In the template editor click the {!...} icon to pull up the list of merge fields to choose from.

With every merge field you select you will notice it is required to insert a fallback merge field. This is a fail safe so that in an event that the merge field does not populate once the meeting is set, Groove can fall back to what you have entered. Sometimes your Salesforce data is not fully populated, so the fallback option will make sure none of your events appear unprofessional on your client's calendars.
